I should also add that I was not criticizing
either.  And I have attempted to share ideas on both methods and the
trading of them on this forum and others.  However since I don't use
squiggly lines or try to predict what the market is going to do my ideas are
generally pooh pooh'd on the premise that you can't trade using just price or
without predicting.

Or they discovered or knew that I offered a
service which then branded me as being one step above a child molester and the
ideas were then discredited on that premise.  Part of a New Year's
resolution was to discontinue offering any kind of services so I'm not in
violation of any forum protocols here.

Trading for me has been a 3 step process - Learn
to see the trades.....Take the trades....Manage the trades, and each step is
progressively harder and much less cerebral.  It's also been my experience
that the first step is by far the easiest since markets only have two modes -
trend and congestion, and within a trend there can be congestion periods which
are just continuation patterns.  I have little interest in congestion
periods but absolutely love and thrive on trending periods (like today on the
indexes).  But getting from step 1 to being proficient at step 3 is one
heck of a journey.

That sounds good but the markets have been
moving the same way since there have been markets.  If you look
at "bare" charts from 50+ years ago (any market) and compare them
to recent charts you couldn't tell them apart.  The only
    thing that changes is volatility/liquidity.

What never seems to change though
is the endless quest to make the simple complicated, along
with the failure to recognize the distinction between methods
    & trading them.
