  Wayne,Set up an additional file and have 
  it connected to FILE: as the port not LPT1.  then for manafacturer, 
  select generic, the  under printers select Generic Text Only.  This 
  is a standard option in Windows.  When you select print, you will get the 
  standard popup and you tell it at that time the name of the file you 
  want.  Hope that helps.  It should get you what you 
  want.  Then when you select print from your program you will have it as 
  an option as one of the printers you can print
