Problem is this, in TS 6, and maybe 2000i versions, if you want to
change the end time for any commodity, when doing so it also changes
the end time for any other charts of that symbol or commodity.
My programmer is working on a system which requires the sesion 1 end
time to be set at 4:10pm rather than 4:15pm. ( S&P day only, minus 5
minutes ).
The old TS 4.0 allows the independent setting of session times by
means of re-setting the universe for that particular chart.
The newer 2000 I and TS 6 does not allow this specific universe
change, but rather requires the change to occur in the Global Server,
thus changing all charts of that symbol, and not allowing individual
charts to have their specific session end times.
Does anyone know of a way to write into a systems language for TS6 or
2000i, that for a specific system the session 1 end time will be
4:10pm?
We need the system to think that 4:10pm is the end of the day, so
that the system will generate end of day signals prior to the actual
end of that day's trading period of 4:15pm...without affecting other
S&P charts a broker is running.
( I want my broker to be able to place a trade for tomorrow's open at
today's close, so setting back the close time would acomplish this,
but not in TS 6 or 2000i ).
If my entry signal is just to buy or sell on close, this will not
give broker time to execute trade.
So ending the day 5 minutes sooner will allow broker time to place
the order.
Any assistance appreciated.
