[RT] Security block missing

List,

on the old and repetitive problem of "security
block missing".
I've read and printed all that's been posted here
on that subject.
I'm installing
TS4 as a backup for TS6 on a new PC with Windows XP.
Installed Build
23 and updated to 27.I followed EXACTLY Omega's DocumentID=689 dated
3/6/2002 about "ManualInstallation of the Security Block Using Windows
XP".I checked if all the files installed got to their destinations, added
theline in config.nt ( first only to the one in C:\windows\system32 and nxt
time
(when it didn't
work) also to C:\windows\repair), installed SSIREGI, etc. When tried to
open the server for Signal, got the dreadful message"security block
missing".I checked and confirmed that it is LPT1 where the block is and
tried toopen it with printer On and Off.Then I deleted all .tmp files,
added in system.ini under [386enh] anddevice=ssiact386 ( it was there) a new
line SSI_LPT=1.To no avail - nothing worked.
The only thing
I haven't done was making changes in DOS mode
because it was
not mentioned in Omega's instructions.I wonder what this line in the
instructions means: "In order to make thefollowing changes Windows XP must
be started with an account with
ADMINISTRATIVE
privileges".

I'll try Monday
to get a knowledgable person in Omega's tech supp, but
am not holding
my breath especially that they don't support it any more..
I f someone has
an idea how to make it work, please let me know.
