Yes, fingers betrayed me with calculator, 3.3% is correct on the utilities
fund .. still very low by historical standards. I regularly followed the
dividends and yields of the DJ indexes in Barron's Market Lab until they
switched earnings and yields statistics from net earnings to operating
earnings. Until that time, a few months ago, the DJ Utilities index was
paying dividends at historically low yields, not to mention a payout ratio
of twice net earnings which made buying the DJU a sucker's bet for dividend
yield.
