I think you may be nit picking over 5-10%+- of the index capitalization
which might not be true operating utilities. I provided the full list which
included the weighting and capitalization of each - the index is
capitalization weighted. Roughly 65% (by capitalization) are ex-Bell
operating companies, 87% are fixed line communications companies, and 13%
are wireless companies. For investment purposes, I consider the fund to
consist of (telecom) utilities ... your mileage may vary.

There are 14 iShares Sector funds and one is a utility fund which consists
primarily of electric and gas operating companies (forgive me if there is a
water utility or something else thrown in). According to the information
provided, it pays a $2+- dividend on a $60+- share price for a yield of
1.25%. I assume that BGI keeps the dividend up to date and that the
indicated dividends are what is passed on to shareholders. Full information
