I partially retract my assertion. After a more thorough review of your
posts over the past 6 months, it appears that you have indeed made some
non-trolling, before-the-fact market calls. The following were the only 2
references to your website I could find.
11/5/01 Jim White:
Near Impulse theory and its application to forecasting market turning points
is described in free materials at my web site, <vendorwebsite>.com.
4/6/02 Jim White:
If you want to learn more, I have some papers on my site at
<vendorwebsite>.com which should be of interest.
Let's say you had not made the mistake of sending to the list instead of to
Capello directly. You would send it to JC and he would say "Nice. Can I
see the indicator/system behind this?" Then what would you say? "Sure.
Here it is." or "That'll be $500." If it was A, then there is no reason for
you not to post to the list in the first place. If it was B, then you're
using this list to market your products.
RealTraders is here for public exchange. We all know the cliches about what
indicators people develop and trade with vs what indicators people develop
and sell to the public. You are selling to the public. That doesn't mean
you're defacto wrong. It does mean that your posts are subject to a higher
level of scrutiny. I'm sure lots of people did ask for your indicators. I
could take a moving average crossover, post the days it made good calls, and
people would be asking me for the secret formula. $500 and $5000 are large
sums of money.
And I've made mistakes with the To: field in email also. But I'm not
selling anything.

Kent,
I have been sharing information and making public forecasts on my web site
and on list list for over four years. The items offered for sale on my web
site are there because people have asked for them, not because I am actively
marketing them. In fact , they were just offered in the past month.
The reason I responded to John was the following statement in his message:
"I have seen few people go out on the limb, including RT and Median
> Line , and make a prognostication for the next day based upon their
> analysis. I was testing the waters for the accurate feasability of
> this."
I did error in not responding directly to John instead of replying to the
list message but it was easier to do that way. So please back up your
statement that I have trolled this list before.
Regards,
Jim White
