A little update for everyone.
We accepted about ten new members last week.
Only two people have been removed from the list since my
appointment. (They were removed immediately).
One member called for my removal as moderator but the committee voiced
their disinterest in holding such a vote or poll due to the nature of the
complaint.
Two warnings were issued for aggressive posts with personal attacks on
other members.
As everyone noticed, there were some heated discussions on fibs but as the
posts did not attack other members and were focused on the topic at hand,
no intervention was necessary. I point this out for those critics who felt
that having an active moderator would end open discussion.
All in all, things seem to be settling down and the list is focused once
again on the stated objectives for the group. If you have any ideas for
the list or complaints, please send them along.
