"I agree. It seems more likely to me that discretionary traders are
more 'intuitive' and may not have the mind set, or perhaps even the
ability, to do an analysis to prove something mathematically,
particularly if it's complex. For that reason, I don't see them coming
up with an analytical result."
It's kind of funny....one of the better traders I know is a former math
professor who definitely falls into the discretionary camp. When I see
obnoxious comments like the one above it reminds me of how fortunate I
really am.
Btw, when's the last time you or any of your "computers are better than
people" buddies actually placed a real trade?
