Re: [RT] mark and ric

If contributors here will adopt the behavior they would use while discussing
the subject face to face at a gathering, the list can discuss a wide variety
of trading topics to everyone's benefit. Most large gatherings consist of
clusters of people where each cluster is discussing a different topic. If
the topic being discussed in one cluster is not of interest, move on to a
more interesting cluster i.e. delete the posts not of interest. If an
individual in a cluster is consistently boring or speaking on a topic not of
interest, ignore the person i.e. block the sender.

Civility and respect for others should be paramount on the list. Some seem
to think that email offers a shield behind which they can undertake more
blatantly aggressive and/or rude behavior than they would undertake in
person. I think such behavior should result in one warning followed by
banishment. Those who do so while hiding behind an mask (alias) should be
banned without warning.

Mark Brown: I've been on enough trading lists that I can recognize Mark
Brown by his style. I think Mark is quite knowledgeable and is capable of
contributing a good deal to any trading list, especially on the subject of
trading systems. However, Mark follows a standard script of (re)joining a
list under an alias, teasing the list with some interesting stuff, and then
conducting himself in a manner which changes the tone of the list and causes
long time contributors to leave the list. Coming on top of other
controversy, I was ready to depart the list. I believe Mark's banishment was
well earned by Mark himself. Make no mistake, Mark will return once again
behind a new mask and then proceed to unmask himself once again by his
conduct.

Ric Ingram: I consider Ric to be a true bore who preached to us in a
condescending manner. I don't like Rick's manner nor did his many lengthy
posts offer anything which I considered of value to my trading. I added Ric
to my blocked senders list. I am not displeased to see Ric gone ... perhaps
he would find a more attentive audience on a psychology list.
