[RT] Stock Split Strategy

I love stock split stategies but 14% per year is not worth my time to
hold for 30 months plus there are too many of them to tie up that
much capital. You need to take into consideration the bullish or
bearishness of the market.

I would decline to take every one of them. For example PCFB which I
posted today is a high PE/insider sales and high short interest. The
split could be to trouble the shorts and for all we know the insiders
could sell to the shorts so as not to disturb the market. I have a
former unethical friend who made $2,000,000 doing this.In a bull
market I am "in" but not in a choppy or down market.

I look for 2 to 3 week flips with an upside of 10% and downside of
2%. The critical dates are stock of record and ex-div.The 2% is not a
stop loss but a stock breathing exercise if it does not show signs of
breaking resistance.

If fundamentals and PE are right I will take it in any market.

Since I am living off my portfolio I am also revisiting a thesis I
put together for my M.B.A. It followed the price movement of stocks
applying for listing to the ASE from OTC and separated them into
categiries of those with rising earnings. It worked very well enen in
the down market year I selected to qualify its ability to make money
but was difficult to get timely info on...same with NYSE
applications...very bullish sign if earnings are on the rise.

I used to use Barron's for it but stopped for lack of timeliness in a
weekly publication. Any ideas on the timely news of new apps to both
exchanges could help us all.

Thanks ,

John

There has been some discussion about a stock split strategy.
Forbes has one partially defined in its email news items for
today:
