Bob-

Thanks for SHARING.<g> How many shrinks does it take to change a light
bulb? Only one; but the bulb has to want to change.

It was Freud who stated that self-analysis was really not possible. Of
course
he was the notable exception for it was mostly through his self dream
analysis
on which the new art and science of psychoanalysis was based. Having said
that; I don't think there is any supporting scientific proof on the efficacy
of any type of analysis; and the more time one spends in this arena; it
seems one is
able to recognize an analysis du jour. I have also read where the same
type of personality change that we envision from a Western perspective can
be effected through the daily practice of meditation. Those who have been
practicing that for years are said to resemble individuals who have been
completely transformed; as through some type of psychological therapy or
traditional psychoanalysis. Quicker changes have been effected through
what Jung described as a spiritual transformation. That's for those real
stubborn folks who make a decision to effect a change in their lives through
some sort of spirituality; and when almost everything else they have tried;
failed to make a difference.
