I
think this is the best way to go is to have 2 computers one with asdl or isdn
and or cable( with cable and asdl you can turn up the juice and make the speeds
go faster) for example i paid 5bucks to have a half meg upgrade but it will cost
another $50 bucks to get another half comin the other way. If you do not want to
get stuck without any outs get both, high speed is getting very reasonable and
if Level 2 is slow on whatever connection switch to the
other.

I
think Satellite still needs some work yet.

  Michael:

I day trade equities, primarily QQQ's, through Terra
Nova.  When I was in the process of switching from ISDN to cable I talked
with some of the tech guys at MB Trading (branch office at time) about
satellite connections.  They could never get them to work for a similar
reason - just could not stay hooked up to the network.  Something about
the route switch from telephone/sattelite and the delay they really drove them
nuts.  The customers eventually switched to cable/dsl when it became
available in their area.  This was a couple of years ago, but your
  "connection problems" sound extremely similar.

  Hope this helps.

  Best regards,

  Ed
