Mike,

the data at turning/pivot
points.

Subject: [RT] Gann angles - can they be
  quantified?
Hi Clyde, normalizing price seems indeed to be the
only logically sound way ofapproaching this. So suppose the current pivot
is at 600, your programinternally equates every 6 price points to one day?
Is this correct? Then,on a weekly chart, would one bar be equivalent to 6
price points, or 5 timessix, or seven times six?I have to think
about this some more, but to my mind it is the best solutionI have seen so
far. Of course the question remains whether the use of thatnumber 100 has
any basis in fact, or even in Gann's writings, as it no doubtlooks
somewhat arbitrary. Perhaps 144=12*12 would be more "Gann-like". Butthen,
Gann's teaching as a whole seems to require several leaps of faithanyway,
  doesn't it?Thanks and best regards,Michael

documentation of my SquareOfNineindicator which solves this problem I

unable to answer all my trading life. Iasked it on another list, but have
not received any satisfactory reply toit. The problem: I fail to
understand how one can speak of Gann 45 degrees orsquares when there is no
accepted standard for the x- and y-scales of achart. Who determines what
constitutes the applicable units of time andprice? To
