HEAVY BLK activity ON MSFTThe average public has to
play by rules I layed out I believe.. The pointthough was  the list
of stocks that were mentioned which are very liquidwidely held
stocks...... so there should not be a problem shorting thoseparticular
stocks...... that was  my point... Your comments don't point toany
reason why those stocks would not be able to be shorted....... I
can'tspeak for dealers or market makers or specialists.. obviously they
don'thave to deal with uptick rule....... the average investor does ...
thoughthere has been talk about changing the uptick rule.. I know hedge
funds arepushing for that change... So the back to the original
question.... Do youreally believe that this last week there would be a
time when stocks likeMSFT, INTC,  ORCl etc could not be shorted
unless  the stock was notavailable by stock loan of the particular
brokerage firm that this personwas inquiring??????----- Original
