Does anyone happen to know if at any time this year the COT numbers
reached any type of yearly or multiyear extremes; relative to Commercial
short positions? Thank you.
According to Alan Sears tradersgroup site, the commercial net short position in march near -111,000 shows as the greatest level of shorts going back to the beginning of his chart in April 1998. The commercials didn't even go net short in October 1998.
