In an ideal world what Norman says is true and I do believe we are heading
in that direction... However, as we have seen in the past... during Carter
admin there was a push for solar power... until the price of the product
(oil) is too high... it doesn't make sense to pursue alternative source of
energy. . . . or rather it does make sense we should be but from an economic
stand point... we don't or have not in the past. I do belive we as a nation
are on that path as we are seeing auto industry developing electric cars and
fuel cells that off and on use petro or the cell... etc and fuel cells are
being improved to the point to where they can be used beyond just being "a
concept".. many of these ideas are at this time only "concept" until they
can be used for more than a ride around the block like a toy car... we are
making strides but at this point in time we need to develop our own natural
resources so we are not caught.... freezing in the dark.........and continue
to do r & d in these alternative energy sources................ Dorothy
