the causation questions are interesting and there may be something there,
but since that is such a big subject and perhaps a microbiology one or
even a deeper scientific study, fwiw i like to think of the moon timing
thing the way i think of the clock, here, in my sanctum sanctorum - when
it's 5:00 (+/- 10 min), i'm going to hear the sound of a cork popping. the
clock didn't do it, but i can look at it and come pretty close to when
it's gonna happen. :-)
