Haytham,
some people call your "turning points" lower H's
& higher L's.
How do you do "time anlysis" seprated from
price?
One can call the example of "W4 taking 61.8% of W1
duration", time analysis,
however, there is still W4 & W1 which is
price.
An example of pure time analysis with no
relation to price'd be appreciated,
especially if the noise level of this discussion
could be lowered..
Thanks,
Jan Philipp

Gary,
Price analysis is completely different from time
analysis, let me explain:
TOP OR BOTTOM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TURNING
POINT, TOP CAN BE REACHED THEN STOCK, FUTURE ...etc CAN BE TRADED AROUND THE
TOP OR THE BOTTOM UNTIL "TIME" COMES AND THE STOCK "TURN" UP OR DOWN. THIS IS
THE "FOUNDATION" OF ANY PATTERN SUCH AS FLAG, PENNANTS....etcWITHOUT
KNOWING"TURNING POINTS" YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TELL HOW LONG THE PATTERN WILL
LAST BEFORE GIVING YOU "TURNING SIGNAL"
