In a previous post a few weeks ago, I believe our illustrious Clyde Lee of
Swing Machine fame made the comment that the current period resembled that
of the 1973 - 1974 consolidation. With a few clicks of his keyboard he came
up with this energy impulse view that shows the consolidation periods. The
chart on the next post is for an earlier period generations would like to
forget about. At the present time divergences are manifesting themselves
similar to the other long consolidations. The chart is weekly and depending
on you bull/bear inclinations may have some meaning. Call it the inkblot
test of market timing.
