Re: [RT] WHY...Trading Profession?

My experience has been the same as Earl's. It wasn't until I ended my
squiggly line/systems phase and started studying PRICE and market behavior
that my trading took a step in the right direction. But that was just one
step as I soon discovered because even though I then felt I had some clue as
to what I was doing and what I should be doing I still wasn't able to
execute properly. Needless to say this came as quite a disappointment since
I thought I was well on my way because I had figured out an approach that
worked.

It was then that I came to the realization that there is an absolutely huge
difference between learning a methodology and learning how to trade. I also
realized the large mental and psychological challenges that I was going to
have to overcome along with the tremendous amount of discipline that it was
going to take to trade successfully. I know a lot of people (not traders)
poo-poo this part of trading, and I have even seen some refer to it as "Tony
Robbins horsesh-t". My only response to this is simply that they don't
understand trading.

You don't learn how to golf or how to Win at the driving range.
