I think if you scaled this lunar cycle chart to a percentage
basis, you would see that the DJIA oscillates over a +0.1% to -0.12%
range. That ain't much at all.
I wonder what it would look like if you folded the data across
an arbitrarily selected 25-day range or 37-day range to look for a
cycle. I bet it would be almost as flat. I have seen studies where
they analyzed annual cycles an came out with the fact that it was worthwhile to
hold stocks from October to May but almost profitless to hold them for the rest
of the year.
