Gee, Phil...
I was worried I was going to anger a member that posted so many helpful
trading tips and comments, day in and day out...and then I did a quick
search of the recent history and...ummm...
You have made basically two posts in the past year. One asking for help
because you were trying to get the FIX protocol to work...and the
brilliant post you ending with this witty and helpful comment to Earl A.,
someone that actually DOES contribute interesting and useful content on a
regular basis. You said:
" I suppose you are familiar how stop orders gets handled on the pit, as
well the execution? Therefore; I would suggest you think over the contents
of your mail once more."
Well, thanks for that help, Phil!
Oh, I forgot! You're a trader that works for an institution and think most
of us here are just gosh darn stupid and don't know much, huh.
You and a lot of others work or have worked for institutions. Me, too.
What's your point? I have some very large accounts I manage [miniumum is
$10 million US$] and I've been trading professionally for over twenty
years. I get very low rates and brokers, including IB, solicit my business.
I know enough to know that cut rate brokers, like IB, are able to charge
what they charge because their customer service staff is small to non-existent.
Why would someone have to post here to find an answer to the question that
was asked? Because you'd be hard pressed to ask them on the phone during
trading hours, wouldn't you...
If you don't need help when they lose your order or when an out trade
appears on your account, no worries...go the cheapest route. Yes, the level
of service provided by IB is appropriate for some people. But not everyone.
Hey, Phil...How could my original post have offended you? You don't own IB.
You don't work for IB, do you? You don't have a clue what brokers I use and
what I know or don't know. That's leaves...you are cranky and felt you'd
drop a rude post today, to celebrate the one year anniversary of the last
rude post you dropped on us?
Happy anniversary, Phil. And thanks for the kind words.
I apologize to the RT group members for the bandwidth taken up by this fine
exchange...
As I said before, I hope everyone has a profitable and fun week trading.
Best,
Tim Morge
