This might be useful for those interested in trying their hand with mutual
funds from the management side. The http://www.marketocracy.com site is
pretty neat for experimenting with your own mutual fund family. The recent
modifications to the site are quite useful for maintaining SEC compliance.
You are provided with $1,000,000 per fund with 1,000,000 share, i.e. $10 NAV
to start with. Attached is a lame attempt by the oextrader to invest in
stocks for the last couple of months. Hasn't been easy. The energy fund
got lucky during this crisis by entering electricity producers/suppliers and
alternative sources early on. The speculator that he is even bought a ton
of PG&E near $8 bucks today.
