Perhaps I should have quoted off "scientific wave count", i.e.,
the effort to to break A-B-C- -- waves into three or five events based on
internal structure (fib extensions, retracements and time) and draw
conclusions from this as to the nature of the correction. 
Discernable five wave counts are the hallmark of EWave.  The
difficulty in applying the theory is in the complex corrections. 
They are obvious (afterward) when the market moves to Wave 5, not so
obvious while they develop.  There are failed Wave 5 patterns that
can be reclassified as corrections.  Hence the need for alternate
counts.
