In 1987, Larry Bird played his last game as a player.
It was a Game 6 Final against LA Lakers.
The Lakers won.
The BobR planets aligned just so.
The stock market crashed.
In 2000, Larry Bird played his last game as a coach.
It was a Game 6 Final against LA Lakers.
The Lakers won.
The BobR planets are aligning just so.
The Stock Market .........
The Superbowl Indicator is dead.
Long Live the NBA Indicator.
Well played, Pacers.
Congratulations, Lakers...
Once again, we learn that
It is not how many points a team scored, but when.
It is not how many 3 pointers or rebounds or fouls, but which ones, and
when.
It is not how many games one won in the season, it is which ones.
Just like baseball: Its not who scored the most runs, it is who got the runs
in the games that mattered.
Just like tennis: It is not how few Sets the runner-up lost coming into the
final, it is which ones they lost in the finals.
Just like stocks.
It doesn't matter that the A/D line is good or bad, breadth is good or bad,
sentiment is good or bad... its 'whether one is long the ones that are going
up when they're going up that counts....
That matters.
