error message appears 'non system disk or error disk. replace and strike any key 
when ready' it seems that my son inadvertently changed the working disk from c 
to 'a' (or somthing to that effect)and i need to know how to change the boot 
disk order</DIV>

  is remove it and try rebooting by cycling the power or hit the Reset switch if

  preferences.&nbsp; You enter the Bios Setup during the boot process by holding 
  down a certain key.&nbsp; I kind of doubt that your son was able to change 
  this because it can't be done unless he entered the BIOS setup.&nbsp; More 
  than likely he corrupted your hard disk.&nbsp; Your Compaq owners manual 
  should describe how you enter the BIOS.&nbsp; For Windows98 on a Compaq you 
  hold down the F10 key when the computer is trying to boot.&nbsp; Messing with 
  the BIOS can really get you in trouble and it is best to have someone there in 
  front of the computer that knows what they are doing.</FONT></DIV>

problem is more complicated,ill try and sorted it out next week with
professional help
as far as kak virus,it is not the same computer im using for the
internet,and no i dont have the virus when run a scan for it
