I have been working on using probability studies as a tool to forecast
price direction. This study is on the Nasdaq Comp. I calculated the 1, 2,
3, 4,........ 10 day changes in the index over a 64 trading day time
frame. Then I calculated the percentage of up and down time frames to the
total of each time frame. I entered the results into a formula to fit a
probability curve. This gives me a probability estimate of what the
Nasdaq Comp will do in 1, 2, 3, 4,........... 15 days from now based on
its recent (64 days) past performance (insert typical past performance
rhetoric disclaimer here)
