Sort of a wrong assumption. I too thought this was the case,..but as it
turns out there are numerous vendors on RT forum. There are rules
about the type of "self-promotional" posts they can make,...and in general
are limited to typing the URL of their site by their name on an informative
type post.

Many of these vendors (systems writers,..investment advisors, ... brokers,...
or web site advisory service,..etc) are sincere in their desire to share
ideas,...
and do so openly. Some of the more worhtwhile posts are provided as a
result. You can tell by the posts after awhile who the regular contributors
are, and it matters not if they have something to sell. There are a few who
limit the substance of their "informative" posts to "tidbits" sort of as bait
for
new subscribers, but for the most part that is not the case.

In general though you are correct insofar as no one is "seriously" trying to
sell anything to anybody.

Also importantly,..there are a handful of individuals on RT who have made
their informational or educational site (webpage, etc.) available for others
to understand or learn from their methodology. It has been my hope that
there could be some kind of a reference list of these sites / web pages
created so that RT members could understand the work of those willing to
make their sites available (in some cases a username or password might
be required). I am wondering if any others on RT have a similar interest in
seeing this happen,...and if there are, perhaps we could ask the moderator
(John oggio) if somehow this collection of URL's could be made a reference
document for RT'rs. For instance a list of sites that is made available on
request,..or when a new person joins RT it is provided,..etc. Just an idea,
..I would volunteer (be willing to help) if necessary to see this happen.

Have a good day, Regards, JIM Pilliod jpilleafe@xxxxxxx
