Yes, the TweakDUN program adjusts the "Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU)" and
other related settings in your Windows registry file. You can do it
yourself and save the $15 by reading about it and other dial-up tweaks at:

However, if monkeying around with your Windows Registry file scares you, and
it *should*, then the $15 for the TweakDUN shareware program is a good deal.
