The only source I know of for this data is from
RYDEX funds themselves. The problem is that
several of the funds are comparatively new...
i.e. Rydex Arktos (short side OTC) fund ....and
have not been around as long as their oldest
funds...Nova (bull bet) and Ursa (bear bet). I
have been tracking these numbers since 1994 or so...
whenever the Nova and Ursa funds came out.
Each night on Rydex's toll free NAV line....
1-800-717-7776 (push 2,..then 2 again) will get
you the Dollar Assets in each of the RYDEX portfolios.
This is just for the current day though,..not for historic data
etc. Rydex should be willing to fax or email you hardcopy
of spreadsheets with the historical information...that is
how I got started using this data,...and for years plotted the
ratio of assets in the Nova fund vs the Ursa fund,...what I called the
"Nova/Ursa" ratio. If you want to call Rydex directly,..
call 1-800-820-0888,...they are very polite and helpful in general.
