RT's,
I tried internet feeds vs BMI cable and DTN Satellite. I also found the
internet feed faster, sometimes by up to as much as eight seconds.
I tried esignal (10 months ago) but if I recall at that time they did not
provide delayed quotes on all the futures exchanges. You either had to have
the exchange real time or nothing. I don't know if this is still the case.
I wanted real time and delayed so I went with Mytrack (mytrack.com). I have
real time CME, Nasdaq, NYSE, and AMEX for only $127 a month. Much cheaper
than esignal. You have to buy, rent, or lease a software compatible with
the feed. I choose InvestorRT (linnsoft.com), I think it was $395 for a
year lease. I have had many problems with the software but I was the first
customer to use it with the mytrack data. They've been very helpful (Linn
Software) trying to take care of any problems. There are several other
software packages that are compatible with Mytrack but I'm not sure which
ones.
Good luck,
Howard
