The bid and ask size are how many shares are bid to buy at the bid price
same for ask. The market is an auction with quantities and price as the
variables. If you can watch the bid and ask and last trade with the size of
trades over a period of time in relationship to the movement of the stock it
will paint a picture for you. Pretty much like the old time tape readers.

with bid and ask quantities. Sometimes the values are the same, sometimes
