Hi All

Seems to be both Williams and Bowden do provide
a service to the newbie. The systems provide a
means of:

1 identifying the trend
2 providing an entry technique and
      initial stop
3 (sometimes) some form of trade
      management.

This is a huge start for a newbie trader; it gives
him/her the basics of a successful trading plan.

The disservice they do is to suggest that making
loads of money from a small amount is "easy"
and that you need only the "magic" approach -
usually theirs. Their systems at best give money
management a cursory glance and winning psychology
nary a mention.

Whether or not the "system" is value will depend
on the experience of the buyer. I have seen Bowden's
"starter pack" and for profitability rate it the same
as a two period moving average crossover system -
great in wide ranging or trading mkts; probably a
loser in congestion mkts.

If you know what a two period moving cross system
is, then you probably won't find the starter pack value;
if you don't then you'd probably find it a good place to start.
