I'm planning on buying a fully loaded 15.1 TFT portable (hardly a laptop at
10 pounds) as substitute for desktop w 17" monitors and have been looking at
all of them. I have no great love for Dell, however the cost differential
between ProStar (including most no-name brands which use ProStar as OEM) and
Dell 7000 Insperion amounts to a few dollars which appears to be an
excellent value given the difference in laptop warranty term and especially
service level.

Only downside to these machines appears to be lack of support for multiple
monitor setups i.e. arranging apps and charts across 2 or more monitors.
