I haven't looked at the currencies in a while. Is this just a
retracement in a down market or are there some basic changes happening
to spell the end of the dollars strength?
If there is a true recovery going on around the world, will they
repatriate their own currencies? If that is done then bonds will be
sold to acquire funds to exchange. With a stronger currency in these
nations there will be increased demand for our grains, meal, and other
feeds. There will also be an increased demand for petroleum products as
well as manufactured products. Could this be inflationary? If so where
does the market go? The firms that have large overseas incomes will
benefit from better exchange rates, but will there stock rise if the
market plummets?
Just some questions at a time when interest rates seem to be rising, I
still have a 112 projection on the bonds. Have a good week. Ira.
