About the Tag conferences..

I've been to a few TAG conferences, also Omega World and Futures South..

Tim Slater, who organizes TAG, does a GREAT job. In the past, speakers
have been included by invitation only, and he does make space for
new speakers who are interesting. He tries to arrange an interesting
balanced group of speakers.

Also, he tries to have speakers who are actually GIVING something, rather
than just selling. He wants speakers who will provide some value, some
knowledge, rather than just sales pitches. He discourages selling during
seminars, if the speaker wants to sell, they should have a booth. Though it's
difficult to control this, he would not invite a speaker for the next year if
he was disappointed.

I know this because I've been to a "speaker orientation" session.
