Realtraders,

Thanks to all those who have so far responded about my inquire for
a new listserver. For your information, it appears the consensus is
leading me to investigate several providers: Egroup, listbot, and
onelist as well as a few others. We shall see.

As for knowing who has been paying for this service for the last
few years, it has been Kasanjian Research - the makers of PatterSmasher
and Nature's Pulse
(www.realtraders.com).
As for me, as I have mentioned, I do NOT work for them but I'm an
independent trader who use to contribute regularly for the first few
years. Hence, in the beginning of the Forum, I asked Eddie Kwong
(former Kasanjian employee and Moderator of this Forum) if I could
help "a little" when he became busy with other tasks.
Well, it was not too long after, that I became the acting moderator (some
may think policeman) and I have been at it, I think , for over 3.5
years. Gosh, time has flown! And I think I have read nearly
EVERY post sent to this Forum, and trust me, I am no 'Speedreader'....no
wonder why I get these headaches.

Anyhow, it has been a pleasure moderating this group of primarily
professional traders and I hope to continue to do so into the
future. Obviously, we (the Forum) has had its bad days or weeks,
but on average, the quality of posts and posting in general represent
IMHO some of the best on any discussion forum on the internet.
Especially at our price, which is free. As far as contributions,
that sounds like a great gesture and we will see if anything like that
unfolds. However, the only problem I see with such an idea is, what
if someone makes a contribution and then begins to break the rules or
even bends them too much and I feel compelled/forced to remove
them. Or, as has happened in the past, other members confront me
about inappropriate actions/behavior that takes place behind the
scenes. If I get enough complaints, I then get involved and often
am forced to remove them as well. So, how do you think they will
react if they recently made a small contribution only to find out that
they have been removed. BTW, for your information, people do not
get remove too often for bending the rules but there are situation that
require immediate and stern attention. Anyhow, the contribution
idea is a good one and it WILL work for me, BUT will it work for YOU,
knowing the possible consequence of removal...something to think
about.

Have a great day and look forward to a long weekend.
Sincerely,
Probability is only part of the picture. And because option strategies are
so hard to backtest they can be very misleading. If 90% of the time you make
$100 and 10% of the time you lose $1000, this obviously isn't a very good
strategy. Probability numbers are meaningless without $ attached to the
win/loss percentages.

Using delta neutral credit spreads designed to make money from
falling volatility, you can actually choose the % probability of
your trade being successful by the targets you
pick...70%...80%...even greater than 90%.
