Excuse me but what is AAII ? and where is the stock investor pro website?
As good as TC 2000?

My only problem with TC 2000 is that they don't have a comprehensive
list of stock indices, cannot easy scan more than one watch list, but you
have to put in each watch list seperately and then scan. Another peculiarity
is that if you want to update during the day, the easy scan considers last
price as the the last intraday price. Obviously this completely
nullifies one's buy /sell criteria.....
Also it would be great to be able to program in some sort of alert
and scan for double tops/bottoms.

Other than that it is a good program. BTW any suggestions of a software
that does this and everything else that TC 2000 does well especially the
user friendly programability?

Many Thanks for any/all information,

Ketayun Rustom

Telescan and TC2000 (Telechart) are two entirely different programs.
Telescan's ProSearch is a "screening" tool that allows you to screen for
stocks meeting a vast array of fundamental and technical criteria. The
information is updated continuously, so you're getting relatively fresh
statistics. Other programs that come out on a CD can be several months old
data.
AAII is the Amer Assoc of Individual Investors (their main telephone number
is their listing on Michigan ave. in Chicago). they also have a website and
an aol forum (i believe). Stock Investor Pro is their re-vamped screening
tool. It is much more fundamentally-oriented than Telescan, and allows you
to program your own calculations to a great degree. SI Pro comes once
monthly on a CD....
Telescan, by the way, offers numerous indexes and industry sub-groups that
you can run the screens on, as well as the stocks themselves.
Together, they are about the best self-directed screening tools available,
IMO.
hope this helps.
