Suggestion for less mail bombardment and easy mail administration

Hi all.

A common cause of disagreement in our discussion group arise from the
constant bombardment of mail from new postings. At last count, we received
over 60 postings daily. It is administratively difficult to maintain a
mailbox that is experiencing such heavy inflows. 

Sometimes, urgent emails gets crowded out.

I am floating this idea for everyone's consideration, especially the
Discussion Group's administrator.

Could we automatically have some prefixes appended to the "Subject:" or the
"Sender:" details before new postings are mailed out? (Say "RTG"-[Sender
email address] or "RTG"-[Subject])

This way, mail from the RT group can be easily grouped (by the prefixes),
identified and left for reading at an appropriate time later.
