What is the basis you are using for determing "good/poor" fills on market
orders? If you are watching prices on your data feed be aware that you are
seldom seeing where the market is actually trading at the moment you enter
your order. It should be close but if you are following S&P prices in a
fast market on your computer what you are seeing can be WAY behind where
the market is actually trading.
It is easier to determine the quality of a given fill on a stop order
because you can go to your screen and see where, if not exactly when, it
was hit and can more closely get a feel for where you should have been
filled.
