Michael,

It depends, look back at what happened to DELL, a lot of online brokers
won't let you trade after 4:00 pm. News came out after the market closed
and the floor opened up and DELL fell like a rock. A lot of people were
very scared, couldn't sleep etc. If you had an account opened with a
professional firm you would have been able to cut your losses faster and
re-enter the at 8:00 EST when the stock was tradeing, you would have been
in while everyone else was still waiting for 9:30 EST.

Since you trade options, after-hour quote don't really apply. But are
useful, depending what side of the trade your on.
