color=#000000>Hi Mark,</FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2><FONT color=#000000></FONT></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2> I use
Net Boost, and it does help, a little., just don't expect miracles. It
doesn't do much for the connection speed, this is more a function of the quality
of the phone line. It does increase the rate of file down load (Kb/sec),
mine increased about 30%. The max. allowable bps rate is 50k, even with a
56k modem per FCC regs. I consider 46-48 bps good for ware I live.
If you consistently connect at speeds lower than this, call your local phone
company and ask them to check for noise on the line. You may have pay for
this service, but doing so improved my connect speed 400%!!!!!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>
Finally, if you really want to speed up your connection, and have or can install
two phone lines to your computer, there are now available dual modems.
These use 2 lines at once, giving a max. speed of 100k and an average speed of
90k bps. Diamond sells one, but there are others. Prices are
reasonable, but you will pay for the extra line and possibly a second Internet
account. Still, it's cheaper than ISDN.</FONT></DIV>
