Chris, Dick and Earl:

I needed to clarify that my most recent monitor was the iiyama 'Vision 
Master Pro17.  That is to say, I liked the iiyama enough to buy another
one albeit for a different application from constant screen viewing.  BTW
the screen is 'nice and flat'.  Please, if there is something better; let
us
know.  Thanks.
