have PI?&nbsp;&nbsp; It is produced by Investors Alliance not Investors
Intelligence.&nbsp; I cannot recommend PI to anybody that does any serious
trading.&nbsp; The data in stocks, mutual funds is completely unreliable. They
have no phone number, you cannot talk to a human being.&nbsp; Emails to PI are
rarely, if ever, answered.&nbsp; All one needs to do is go to the BBS that they
have and see the thousands of complaints by prior and present users.&nbsp; Yes,
it is inexpensive, but what good is it if the data is not reliable and any TA on
a chart that has a price that varies from 1 to 2000 as there are many, is
completely useless.&nbsp; I have been a user since almost day 1 and have kept it
only because $90/year is not much since they do have a newletter that has a
handful of pages with Mel Berko and a couple of others once per month which I
sort of enjoy reading so I pay for it just to get the newsletter and keep up
with the software and see if they make any changes.&nbsp; For $90/year you get
one CD which any errors in the online data are NEVER corrected as there is no
online correction so by the end of one year when their have been distributions,
stock splits, etc and most are not corrected, you have a fairly useless piece of
software to depend on for TA.&nbsp; Right now, when I renewed last September, I
have not been able to access their stock database for over 1 month due to a
glitch somewhere and after dozens of emails, never one answer back which is
typical as they are probably always swamped.&nbsp;
Incredible!</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>As mentioned here previously, I embarked upon
finding a substitute for Omega products in the middle of last year when it
became apparent that it would be a long time before TradeLab might become
useable for end-of-day work much less day trading. Aside from what I perceived
as poor quality control and customer service on the part of Omega, I had
innumerable dead projects which had run afoul of the 64k Easy Language code
space limit. I had prior experience with Equis products, and while the customer
service was better, the formula based development capabilities left much to be
desired. I also wanted a product which I could use with the DTN data feed or
with the net and Metastock Professional had not yet been released.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>After trying a number of net based products, I
abandoned that avenue for lack of mature software and inability to do tick
infill. I settled on Ensign <A
href="http://www.ensignsoftware.com";>www.ensignsoftware.com</A> which was at
that time 16 bit, Y2K compliant, supported both DTN and BMI feeds, and included
a rather powerful scripting language. Ensign was a venerable old product having
been around for nearly a decade but I'd never seen it promoted or advertised.
Nearly a year later, I have thousands of lines of custom code running under the
32 bit version (released last October) which includes the most powerful and
speedy development language I have found in any commercial product. There is an
active user list (see User Group at web site) and the product is enhanced almost
daily (see Whets New web page) in response to requests from the rapidly growing
user base: the month of February alone saw the addition of point and figure
charts, powerful new chart templates, ESPL editor enhancements, major
enhancements to ability to address and manipulate multiple overlays (data
series) in a chart, enhancements to drawing tools, and dozens more. Ensign now
runs with DTN, BMI and Signal Online internet feed - the later includes ability
to do tick infill for up to 3 days. Best of all, customers are not asked to lay
out thousands of dollars in advance - $29.95 monthly billed with your data feed
is all it costs and the pay as you go approach is strong incentive for the
developer to continue working each and every month to retain his
customers.</FONT></DIV>

I totally agree. In August of 1998 I purchased a soybean timing report from
British America AKA Larry Williams Saying I could follow Mike Williams
timing signals on Soybeans and make tons of money. When I received the
booklet I was very disappointed to find 12 pages on how to follow the
commercials in the bean market. No hotline to follow his signals. When I
called to inquire the receptionist said they thought Mike was going to
handle the hotline. When I sent it back, they returned it saying that
because it COULD be reproduced there would not be any refund. To date
ANYTHING with British America or Mike William's or Larry William's return
address on it goes right into the trash can. Caveat emptier.
