Subject: GEN - playing with PREM

Some perspectives on PREM:
PREM fluctuates so rapidly throughout the day that it seems to be of little
value unless viewed with reference to the BuyProgram/SellProgram/FairValue
levels which can be obtained from various sources. Also creating "program"
bands about the futures or pseudo futures provides perspective. In cycle mode
PREM tends to remain between BP and SP most of the time. In "confident" mkts
and uptrends PREM tends to cycle between FV and BP or above. In weak mkts and
downtrends PREM tends to cycle between FV and SP or below. Of course when
sell or buy programs strike Prem will move far above the BP and SP bands.
Thursday had sell programs in the AM and buy programs in the PM. Use of
futures margin must have provided some nice gains for the arbs even though it
was a flat day overall. Is this information useful to the daytrader working
from his PC at home? It should be, from the standpoint of executing a trade
or delaying it until a more favorable minute. Perhaps one of the .ela jocks
on RT can turn this into something more useful, i.e. a system.
