Chris,
Thanks for the info - much appreciated.
It seems like a good idea to use tradestation/excel to generate inputs - I'll try that.

You mention not using the data series directly - what do you mean ?
Do you mean not using the OHLC of the underlying instrument.

Thanks
Peter

I have NeuroShell Trader also. I believe it is used among institutional customers for
price forecasting based on other price inputs, similar to what you are doing. Since the
programming language built into the NeuroShell Trader is so clumsy and time-wasteful, Ward
Systems said their customers create the indicators they want in Excel of TradeStation and
then input the indicator into the NeuroShell Trader as a price input. It is important of
course to not use the data series directly, but a percent change or RSI or something like
that.

I have noticed the NeuroShell Trader seems to try to exactly match patterns excessively.

Ward Systems tech support can be very helpful in setting up your problem correctly. They
seem to have many institutional customers who provide a lot of feedback to Ward systems so
Ward Systems has gained an excellent understanding of how their products are being used
for best results.
