Keith,
I not a fan of Gary's and when he was shooting his mouth off
about OJ, I challenged him to a OJ "off". Sdonelow@xxxxxxx
volunteered to monitor trades and as he can attest to I emailed
him on 9/30 with my recommendation to go "long" on the opening
of 10/1. Me and my "closest friends" filled at 99.30 and have
been long since. The lead contract in OJ is "limitless" (you
might notice that the other months were up only a nickel).
The USDA released a crop report today. The government was
looking for 212-220 million boxes (90lbs.), with industry
"experts" predicting 219.5, ... the number came in at 190
million. Rather than manipulation, this is a simple supply and
demand reaction. Florida's all orange forecast is 22 percent
less than last season. Early and midseason varieties in Florida
are forecast at 20 percent lower than last season . Florida's
Valencia forecast is 25 percent below last season. California's
all orange production is forecast at 16 percent below last year.
So Keith, be careful of what you post. I haven't jumped on the
real traders forum since Gary was spinning his nonsense. I'm
sure you don't want to fall into his company. Freezes, thin
markets, and market manipulations are not part of today's
action. The "thin" market you stay away profited long
positions $4,000 today.
I don't trade off fundamentals ... but, supply side economics
was in control today. I've attached a chart so you can see why
and where we went long. Many times: the technical indicators
time you into a market and the fundamentals show up a few days
later to support your decision. You're right about one thing:
I think I saw OJ's "bloody glove" in the pit today.
