Hi Peter:
Of all of the books I have read (and that's all I seem to have been doing in
the last year), related to the intuitive and psychological side of trading,
the Warrior Trader
has been the most beneficial. When I called Richard McCall to inquire about
his seminars he sent me a list of previous participants and each one of them
waxed elequently about his seminar. I was a bit apprehensive about attending
as I was a beginner and the other 7 participants were experienced day traders
but Richard made a good point by stating that it would be better for me to
learn the proper disciplines before going in to the "battle" rather than
loosing a ton of money first and learn the hard way. So I went for it and
flew to Little Rock - Arkansa to join the gang!! Needles to say I wasn't
familiar with the shop talk at that time but learned soon enough the important
aspects of the trading disciplines and have been applying them for the past
year. I can honestly say, that having actually experienced some of the
(samurai warrior) disciplines like walking on the fire and slicing the
cucumber with a huge sword while it is flying at you hanging on a string
(the whole goal being not to chase it - let it come to you and than attack!!
(By the way each one of us sliced the cucumber down the middle -
concentration!!!)
it makes it almost easy to trade with a discipline that I would never have had
for a long while.
The other participants were from the U.S. and one came from London England.
They were all experineced traders but had problems with different issues -
like - fear of pulling the trigger, not accepting losses - ego problems etc...
each one of them did not regret the five days we all spent in Dr. McCall's -
do-jo - hiking in the Ozart mountains and meditating under the waterfalls and
playing poker on a river boat casino on the Mississippi!!
What else can I say - it was a fabulous experience.
Until next time
Donna
