This is pipe-dream, hypothetical proposition. Suppose that a small,
private, individual investor sits in front of screen with MS Excel,
looks at the last date of registration(LDR) for stocks, buys those
upcoming stocks slightly before the LDR and sells out afterwards.
of course, in practice, it may proved to be difficult to sustain such
a strategy, especially if the trade has to go thru quickly. But I
guess such trading may be profitable by purely picking up dividends.
Just thinking aloud...
